Lovely stay in Liepaja
Lovely small hotel with free secure parking and superb breakfast. Good WiFi. Not in a center but in residential area accross the park, beach is 3 minūtes to go. Free cosmetics and slippers. Espresso coffee machine in your room. Blankets were too warm to sleep.

3 Star plus at best
Deluxe double room booked, but incorrectly described (no balcony or patio) and there is no lounge or bar and the restaurant (closed, but we knew that) is the breakfast room. The hotel management blamed Expedia for the error in advertising (it isn't, but the hotels' own responsibility to ensure the narrative is correct). Assigned smaller room with a "faux" balcony, but no discount/- credit given. Location, especially garden area is excellent. Staff are very good at reception but room service needs improvement (toiletries forgotten, coffee only available in room the first nights accommodation, never any milk, heavy over-bedding and cushions have to be left on the floor as no storage space, towels quite small (although very good quality) and twice we were initially refused bar service until complaining to the management. Management say hotel is awaiting refurbishment and staff are new and need training. Overall disappointing, but the weather was good, and with a little effort it could be the 4 star they purport to be.

A great base for exploring Liepaja and local area
Generally an excellent hotel in an ideal location with great facilities and a very good restaurant. Only quibble would be some minor communication issues - which could be addressed through staff training. Would definitely stay at the hotel again.
