The hotel was clean and the staff is friendly. The servers at the restaurant are very slow and the quality of the food is extremely disappointed (everything is frozen) and the prices are high for such lack of taste, quality and presentation. The breakfast is quite poor as well, you poached eggs will be floating in water on top your your toast. The hotel has no free amenities whatsoever and the prices are high. It’s better to rent surfboards/bikes somewhere else. You can only use the gym a few hours a day and they have very limited machines (there isn’t even one treadmill). The rooms are nicest thing of the hotel. Pool is very small. The facility is filled with kids

This is a beautiful surf hotel in Nosara. The facilities are beautiful and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable with all amenities. The staff is just amazing with everyone being very friendly and helpful. The mountain bike shop, the surf club and the gym with yoga studio are great. Wonderful experience. I wish we could have stayed longer and certainly will go back.

This place is absolutely amazing, been here already twice and every time I come I fall more in love with it. Nosara is just beautiful, makes me happy every time I come to Costa Rica to know that I will be able to relax. Highly recommend to ask the front desk to help you rent an ATV best way to move around, discover other beaches and is cheap.

Perfection in Playa Guiones
Gilded Iguana was incredible! The beautiful grounds, well appointed modern rooms, great restaurant, large pool. The hotel is located in the heart of Playa Guiones, just steps away from the beach and the restaurants. The customer service was excellent both at the front desk from Ivette, Lauren and Jorge, and at the restaurant - David and Alexander were helping us most of the time and they were great! We enjoyed the place so much that we extended twice! Gilded Iguana is perfection. We miss it already and we can’t wait to go back!
