The Hotel is is in great location close to the train station and a short walking distance from lake Bodensee and a 10 minute walk to the City centre. The hotel is very clean with good size rooms. The bathroom sinks in the room we stayed in did not seal so you could not hold water in the sinks for washing ECT and the water pressure for the shower was poor. There was no extraction unit fitted in the bathroom/toilet. Breakfast is not included in the price however you do have the option of paying for breakfast at the hotel. There is a bar in the hotel but this was only open two out of the 10 nights we stayed.

With my luggage travelling by train I needed a place nearby that had good access to the lake. The location of Hotel Buchhorner is great for that: 5 min. by foot from train station and across the street from the lakeside with restaurants and walkways, green spaces and the lake. Yet the hotel is an updated older building with character and a cozy interior, very clean rooms and common areas, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating (when I arrived way early for check-in, they watched my luggage for a couple of hours while I walked into town, and then got a room ready early for me). Nice stay.

Pleasant weekend stay
Hotel was centrally located for all the things we wanted to do at Lake Constance. The room had comfortable beds and was very clean. The bathroom (and especially the shower) was a little on the small side. Had an excellent on site restaurant (not something you necessarily expect). Overall, a really nice experience.
