Millenial decor in historic city
The decor is very new, everything super clean. I was insecure about "partially open bath" as anticipated roommate was not an intimate. The sink area is open to the room so if you were on different schedules, getting ready at different hours could mean light in the other person's sleep. The upside is there's significant floor space (with a small desk on the tv wall.) TV channels include CNN, CNBC and Bloomberg in English. Good bar/restaurant ambiance and after hours edibles. It's a block and a half from a subway station and immediately adjacent to the post office if you need to ship something home (which often happens to me when I'm attending a conference where publications are distributed. The post office also has mailing supplies and basic office supplies/batteries.

Fabulous!
Customer service was top notch. Rooms are spotless and modern. Be aware that if you are sharing a room and really like your privacy, the shower is glass-enclosed and open to a portion of the room where the sink, closet and entrance is located, but there is a curtain to pull across between the side of the shower that faces the bed and window. Bar and lounge area were beautiful - fun design and very comfortable space to sit. While there is no concierge, they give you a tablet and cell phone for use during your stay, which was really helpful. They really are customer-focused. They remembered that during my booking I indicated we were celebrating my parents' anniversary, and they left a gift bag in their room. This place is fabulous!

Style over substance...
I feel the hotel is a but style over substance. The hotel seems new and looks good design wise. The reception/bar area is nice. The room was comfortable enough, but the pillows and duvet covers felt cheap. A smart phone and tablet are provided in the room for guest use which i suppose is nice touch if you don't have your own or travelling from outside of the EU. It took me a while to work out how to call reception, but I think that might be by design. I'd asked for an iron, but was told by the guy who delivered it that they don't actually do room service. I appreciate it was delivered and would have picked up myself but seems a slightly odd policy for a hotel. On arrival the main entrance to the hotel was closed, but no information was given in advance that this would be the case after a certain time and where the entrance was instead. Breakfast is continental and selection of foods was fine I was really pleased to see that there were no individual plastic wrapped portions of butter, jam, sugar etc. However, I think that there should be a toaster. And I found the whole make your own tea bags a bit unnecessary. And serving hot drinks in glasses does not work! They are too hot to hold and given the existence of mugs in the world another unnecessary, trendy take on making a cup of tea. The guy who checked me in was very friendly. Everyone else I found a bit grumpy.

Perfect location
This was a great modern hotel with gadgets in the room. Very clean and friendly staff. Location was perfect in the city centre right next to the metro and shops/restaurants. The only this is the shower is all glassed so if you aren't going as a couple it can be awkward if you want privacy when showering.
