It wasn’t far from Osaka/Umeda stations and easily accessible by subway from Shin-Osaka station. The breakfast was simply breads and coffee/juice.

The hotel clearly states free WiFi in rooms. I would not stay in a hotel that does not have in room WiFi particularly when the other side of the world. During my stay I needed to be connected for both personal at work reasons, and for local reference being in a new city. I was unable to connect to the WiFi even once and a result had to spend a significant amount of money using a local SIM card that I had only intended for light use when out, about 60 pounds in total. Had I known the WiFi would be non functioning in the rooms I could have used the 60 pounds toward a better hotel where the WiFi in rooms worked. I response of the hotel seemed to be like in room WiFi was a nice to have extra when it worked. Reception told me that there was too much demand for the free room WiFi and to wait 15 minutes for it too connect which seemed unacceptable each time I wanted to check my phone or work on my laptop. Likewise I was told I could come down to the foyer for the WiFi or borrow a device each time I needed access. This seemed equally unacceptable as the information clearly said free WiFi in rooms and I shouldn’t have to anticipate each time I need WiFi and have to ask for a device. The hotel seemed to feel that they had done their best to help me, as they suggested I try moving rooms but they couldn’t guarantee that I would get a connection. Clearly they do not have a decent WiFi system to support their claim of free in room WiFi, and are misleading customers.

Good location
Location is good. We just walk less than 10 min to Umeda (梅田). Staff are friendly and polite. Breakfast just offers bread and coffee. For me, I arrived the canteen at around 09:00am, the bread choice were limited.

We were not told beforehand that we were given a smoking room as per our reservation, they say. But our reservation to you is for a non-smoking room. Our fault was we paid right upon check in without seeing our room first. We found out about it when were there and in 5 minutes, we felt & breathe cigarette smoke which is unbearable to us because of our allergies & asthma. We had to move to another hotel but still charged ¥23,112 by Umeda Nature Hotel for cancellation, when in the first place, we were not given the right room for us. The lesson here is do not pay until you are sure you are given the right room. Hotel said that there was reservation for a smoking room & only a ‘request’ for a non-smoking room. If service of this hotel is good then latest request should have superseded prior booking, if indeed that was the case as claimed by them. Anyway, right across the street is Hankyu Hotel annex which for a difference of ¥3000 for 2 days, is a 5/5 rating because our accommodation is a triple, almost suite room, separate bathroom/ powder room/ big closet/water heater, anteroom before bedroom with friendly, efficient staff & it’s an all non-smoking room hotel.
