Failed to meet expectations
Fantastic location within a beautiful town, but unfortunately the service did not meet expectations. Rude staff at the spa, cold breakfast and poor service at the restaurant took the edge off our family holiday!

Small room. Food below average. Fish had far too many bones and mussels lacked taste and texture. Price very excessive.

Best view of Porthminster Beach! Excellent amenities (restaurant, bar, spa). The outdoor lounge is very comfortable and has scenic view of Porthminster Beach. The spa is also lovely.

Good but unable to enjoy
Stayed here in March 2020 for my Birthday on a nonrefundable rate during the Covid-19 chaos. Hotel responded well to the Gov Friday night Shutdown asking guests to book a time slot breakfast for the Saturday before closing the bar/restaurant down and conducting room service for them on. Disappointed not to fully enjoy of make use of what the hotel had to offer. The room was qutie small, with a side view of the beach/station and the bathroom was tiny. Considering I'd class March as off-peak/season, I felt the trip was quite expensive despite using 2 reward nights to lower the cost.

Great stay
Lovely stay. Hotel was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very small and not much light but then we did book a room without a seaview. Overall would stay there again.

We had a lovely stay but found the room not very clean and the condition of the hotel room could do with some updating. View amazing.

Great hotel & staff
Stayed here in May 2018, disorganised chaos, pleased to say that totally different now, all staff conduct themselves in a professional manner but with a personal touch, great service & cocktails by Peter. Spa is an added bonus provided an excellent range of treatment

Lots of good things but let down by the food.
Very nice hotel. Helpful staff. Lovely decor and ambience. Food ok but nothing special. My pheasant was tough and tasted strange. Was unwell all night.
