Convenient to ferry but less than awesome
Confirmed late arrival (midnight) with property prior to arriving and were told that someone would be waiting to check us in. On arrival, there was no sign of anyone at the desk and no instructions on what to do. There was a random switch on the wall which we pressed and hoped for the best. Our shuttle driver (CARM) offered to stay until someone showed up. After about 10 minutes, someone arrived and showed us to our room (Room 11). The room was very spacious with separate living, sleeping, and bath areas. Balconies overlooking an alley and buildings next door in both the living and sleeping areas. Full kitchen and dining setup but very few appointments (no dishes or cooking utensils). Air conditioning in the bedroom only that takes a bit to to cool down the room. Asked for wifi and password and was told there was no wifi (my Spanish is limited but I know what a “no” head shake means) so that definitely needs to be taken off the amenities for this hotel. There was a LOT of wind when we arrived and with the balcony doors closed in the bedroom, it sounds like a racetrack, literally, right outside the window. Opening the balcony door slightly reduces the noise. Sometime before we fell asleep, the water also went out. Obviously not the fault of the property but very inconvenient all the same. Was told in the morning that it would be two hours until the water was restored. After two hours, we still had no water and no wifi so we checked out.

Great Location for Ferry
It was super convenient next to Ultramar ferry, just a one block walk, and safe. Front desk guy was there 24hrs, very helpful. Clean, large apartment at a super reasonable rate. Would definitely stay here again.

It’s more of a Mexican style apartment with people who actually live there. On the outside it says Casa Caribe as it does on Expedia, but it turns out it’s called Casa Mexicana. It wasn’t in the hotel zone which wasn’t a big deal to us because we got more of a local experience. We were supposed to have an ocean view room that we did not get. As soon as we got to the room the AC was already leaking. We only had hot water our first day there and showered with cold water for the remainder of the week. We didn’t say anything until the 3rd day and all the man said was that something had broken and told me “sorry”. Not once did they let us know we weren’t going to have hot water or even mention fixing it as soon as possible. Not once did we get new towels, blankets or our room cleaned. We had to ask for toilet paper every time we needed it. There was a lady that knocked on our door our 4th day there asking if we wanted our room cleaned but we weren’t heading out at the moment. We were never offered to eat breakfast or saw the bar that they claimed to have. The one thing I can say is that it was nice seeing the ocean every morning. The ocean was beautiful but the pool area wasn’t as nice as the picture. I would not consider this my worst experience but we were definitely unaware we were basically just paying for a room to sleep in. The bed was cozy and the rooms were decent. This place could have a lot of potential but lack in hospitality.

It’s an apartment, with an amazing view! Clean, beautiful grounds, next to ferry, not in tourist zone.

Adorable room with great access to the ferry
The room is totally adorable and i could easily stay here more than the 1 night i booked. Honestly not the most exciting area but great access to the ferry to Isla Mujeres.

Not as nice as i envisioned
Pics look nice but no upkeep on landscaping and limited building maintenance. Says 6 rooms but appears to more then 20 rooms, some permanent residents? No bottled water, 24 hr front desk is not, questionable Covid19 precautions visibal (no masks , there was stepoff pad push to one side and there was hand sanitizer). Limited breakfast, no beach, ned to ferry pier and dozens of ferries. Engine was cia google translation.

2 night stay near Ultramar Ferry Puerto Juarez
We enjoyed the kitties, the pet pig, the pool, & the unique property. We would stay again & recommend this budget friendly hotel next to ferry (where we ate, drank & got Starbucks coffee several times). The room is clean but bring salt & pepper, paper towels, an extra wash cloth, a bottle opener, coffee etc that you might need. FYI: Did not get room listed on website that we booked though & a/c was only enough for the bedroom. Needs a little TLC but felt safe & has parking.
