Rat in my room on the 9th floor
Absolutely disgusting hotel. Dirty rooms, filthy carpet and a rat running across the floor at 2am right next to my baby in his crib. I went downstairs to tell the manager we were checking out and she seemed not at all shocked that her hotel was filled with rodents, I was on the 9th floor. I left with my baby in the middle of the night and the Watson did not offer me a car ride anywhere, or any help with my middle of the night situation.

Unsatisfactory experience at a premium price
The hotel is a bit shabby. Accessible room did not have accessibility for the shower (grab bars are not enough for accessibility). A repair needed to be made on the room -- there was an ominous bulge in the ceiling over the tub that we reported. Repair was made same day, but not properly cleaned up from. Plaster dust in the tub and bathroom. Hot water morning one required a very extended wait (I'd given up and started a cold shower (in December!!) and eventually it came on. Morning 3 the temperature varied widely in the shower. Reporting the morning one experience of hot water got an indifferent, unsmiling response. I reported that their wifi wasn't working for my laptop and was told to bring it to reception. When I did so, the agent grabbed it and turned it away from me. When I objected, the agent objected to the way I objected. He turned the laptop so I could see the screen, but not what he was doing and proceeded to muck around, achieving absolutely nothing. I don't know how the login works on their wifi, but it didn't work for my mac. Two of the 5 reception agents we spoke to, however, were decent human beings and helpful. All-in-all a sub-par experience for a low-price hotel, but at a hefty price as we were charged, I felt ripped off and abused.

Ideal Midtown Hotel
Exceptionally nice hotel. Extremely pleasant helpful staff. The room was clean and well kept. The hotel location was ideal for anyone visiting midtown Manhattan we will definitely be back.
