Overall very good place, great pool, service, easy beach access. Very nice and children-friendly staff. A few things were a bit suboptimal: - We booked it also because another reviewer mentioned baby cots were available, but that was not the case, and management took a long time to get back to us on this question. However from the 2nd night they gave us another, bigger room with a 3rd bed which could be placed between our bed and the wall. - The (dead) coral reef extends right up the beach in front of the hotel, so for swimming in the sea one has to walk 300m. - The restaurant on the beach where one can supposedly have seafood lunch was never open during our 8 days there. - The main restaurant only serves buffet, and smaller a-la-carte snacks/meals are available only up to 3pm, and many of them are often not available at all. So if one wants something smaller to eat, there's basically no alternative to going elsewhere, but there are no easy places for this nearby.

Very pleasant stay
The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was great- comfortable and clean. Was a bit far from the town but was otherwise perfect!

Disappointing!
Disappointing! Poor supplies reception welcome. Small room. Bed bug in the bed - first time I've had this in malindi. No evening meal facilities. When I come back with take away see that there is a sign on kitchen door saying for staff only and no outside food allowed. No wi-fi despite asking for it to be switched on. Breakfast was minimal but ok. Won't be staying again.

A racist and hotel that discriminates
Was at this hotel over the holidays. Stayed from 1/2/17-1/6/17. Was asked to eat breakfast in a segregated area far away from other "prefered" guests. Was treated horribly as though I do not belong there. Also the water in the shower was shut off the last days of my stay there so I couldn't shower. I will never go back to this hotel again and won't recommend to others!

Beautiful resort on the beach
Arrived just after opening day of the season so hotel was still getting together. The owner Emma was fabulous and really hospitable. The resort is gorgeous! Right next to the beach, and with a lovely pool near the front of the hotel. Food was great - 5 course buffet. Rooms are lacking water and soap, but for the price it was bargain to be in such a resort. Only thing is that it is a bit further out, not so close to malindi town centre. Nevertheless I'll be coming back.
