Weekend on Loch Fyne
We stayed while spending a view days exploring Loch Fyne and Kintyre, which the property is really well placed for. The property has been carefully renovated, with a homely lounge and bedroom and good quality kitchen and bathroom. Minard is well located for eating out at both Lochgilphead (we really annoyed an Indian at Taj Mahal) and Inveraray (great meal at Samphire), which are about 15-20 mins away. That said, the kitchen is also well equipped for cooking too. The wood burning fire places are always a lovely touch (especially in autumn) and the main fire place generates good warmth in the main part of the cottage, supplemented by electric heaters if needed. The only very slight downside to the cottage is that the views from inside are a little limited due to the hedgerow in front of the cottage. However, in summer the views from the garden over the loch would be great and to be fair we were out nearly all day until dark anyway for our autumn visit, at which point the starry skies (clear enough to see the Milky Way) are a great substitute.

October break
The cottage is bigger than expected and well equipped. Louise, the house keeper, was spot on with communication. This was our first experience of renting a cottage and the first time taking our two working cocker spaniels on holiday with us ! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. In a perfect quiet location with stunning views from the garden of the property. Ideal location for exploring the West Coast. Would happily return to this cottage and would definitely recommend. Fantastic cottage in a very quiet , peaceful location
This beautiful cottage was ideal for our stay. The amount of thought and attention to detail regarding facilities , toiletries, provisions for guests was superb. The communication with the housekeeper was excellent. Great place for stargazing, destressing ,visiting the Kintyre Peninsula and surrounding areas. We and our two border collies absolutely loved being here. Cannot fault anything. Would definitely return. Thank you very much.

Such a great stay in a lovely part of the country. The cottage is so well equipped and couldn’t of asked for anything more. Would love to go back in summer to use the garden next time :)

Home from home
After reading the reviews about this cottage we arrived with high expectations & were not disappointed :-) An excellent property, with plenty of internal & external space & everything you need & more for a self catered, comfortable & cosy holiday....more than that the cottage was homely & we genuinely loved going back to it after a day out visiting the fabulous local area. Location is great & very quiet, be sure to walk down to the lochside in the evening & enjoy your favourite tipple on the bench in community area overlooking the glorious Loch Fyne. The only niggle I had was the double bed was small (but was very comfortable) which as I'm 6'3" is not ideal but this may have something to do with the wood burner in bedroom needing a minimum distance from bed? Inveraray up the road is stunning & a visit to castle & up hill to watch tower a must on a clear day, The George Hotel there is excellent with great food but book early as very busy!
