Abae Hotel

There was conflicting information all around. It said complimentary Vero water in each room however it was Nestle. If the bottles are removed from the room there is a $25 charge added to your stay. That's not the definition of complimentary. The bed was hard and the walls paper thin. We could hear our neighbors coughing, blowing their nose, and snoring throughout the night. The only parking option is valet at $35 a night.

Abae Hotel provides a lot for your money in what is a pretty expensive area. Most of the staff are excellent - which helps balance out those who are not so hot. The layout of the balcony apartment was spacious and provision of crockery and cutlery ample. Dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, mini oven and coffee machine covered all the bases - though three coffee pods for two people for one week, seems a bit mean. We did obtain replacements via the front desk after three days of asking. Same goes for dishwasher tablets. Housekeeping do not replenish, and their timing is somewhat haphazard. The sofa (bed) was hideously uncomfortable and pretty grubby. A little bit of planned maintenance would not go amiss - bathroom caulk, fittings, sofa all required attention. However, at the price, one has to say you would be hard pressed to do better. Pool was great, as was the juice bar. Bed very comfortable. Audio system and TV good. So even though there were some little niggles, I would recommend Abae - it is only 15 minutes from Ocean Drive and 7 minutes to Lincoln Mall - plus there are frequent free Miami Beach trolley buses everywhere.

The hotel itself is lovely, couldn’t say anything bad about it physically. The staff, however, not so much.

Nice clean place!

First of all the hotel is beautiful from the inside. The staff workers very kind and nice. The rooms are very big and there are also dish washers and washing machine. At the top floor there is a nice and little swimming pool with some beds to rest on them. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walking from the south beach but I think it’s worth if I compare the prices between this hotel and the hotels that are much closer to the beach and the ocean drive.
