I had a booking with Fab hotel Khems Ooty for me and family including one and half year old son. On the day of my stay, I started early morning 7.45 am from Trivandrum driving my car. At 2 pm, I received a call from one executive from Fab hotel, saying that my room reservation got cancelled. I requested them not to cancel, but told me they already sent me a mail regarding that and tried contacting me by phone, but could not connected. When I checked the mail, there was a mail from them time stamped 8.23 am saying that reservation got cancelled as it is a tentative reservation.
In their own words in the mail at 8.23 a.m
"Incase of a tentative reservation, a room is blocked for the guest till 2PM"
Please notice that they cancelled my reservation at 8.23 am(without properly communicating), because they were sure I wouldn't turn up at 2.00pm. Strange, you may say, but I felt it as insulting and dishonoring. This may even be kind of discrimination towards people from Kerala.
Keeping every view point aside, this is clear breach of terms and conditions issued to customer. If you don't honour your own terms and conditions, then who will? For whom this condition is for? Customers?
