Excellent service
I have stayed in different kinds of hotels from budget to 5-star hotels. None can compare with the service. For people, who do not speak Vietnamese, the people who work there speak very good English. The only reason I did not give the highest rating for "local area" is because it is a bit hidden but the area itself, District 1 is central and is readily accessible. I will stay there again.

A hotel that insults the dignity of women
I checked out after one night. Some of the issues included smelly room (but you can open the balcony door), smelly lobby, shower wets the entire bathroom, so bathroom is always wet, noisy construction next door. Reception stated they can change the room, but they should have informed me when I checked in, since they knew about it. But the worse thing is the way they treat any female visitors. They brand any female visitor as a potential prostitute. In fact, they dont allow any female visitors, even of the person is an old friend who is coming for a chit chat and a drink. They dont even allow massage girls to come to the room for an hour to give you a massage. However, their treatement of male visitors are different. An the evening desk BOY told me it is HIS decision on who can come and go. He is Supreme in such decision, and he does not care what the rules are or what I, as a customer, am entitled to. This was shocking to me.

Just okay. Slightly noisy, unable to rest well.
Overall it was not a bad one, but for the price paid, I expected a bit more. 1. The breakfast is not a buffet, it was made per order, and they were goood! Sadly, only one dish is available for the day out of 5 written in the menu book. 2. The customer service is really good. The staff are nice and helpful 3. The biggest problem that I was having was the room is not really soundproof. I woke up in the morning due to a lot of noises. People closing the door (the door makes a loud noise when being closed), alarm (if you don't insert the key in a right way, the loud alarm will ring), construction (or something from next door), and staff perhaps preparing breakfast and doing something. I wasn't able to sleep well and woke up 1/2 times throughout the night. I constantly woke up around 5.30 due to noises. 4. The Location is not the best but not the worst as well. 15 min walk to the ben thanh market and palace and the museum. 5. The room is pretty big and clean with amenities Will I come back? Probably not. I will find a cheaper hotel (although it will be smaller of course than this hotel)

Exceptional for the price!
I was very happy with my stay at LaLuna Saigon. The staff were warm and welcoming, always offering a smile and fresh juice when coming in from the heat. My room was well appointed, with everything you could need whether there on business or vacation. Plenty of storage space and clothes hangars, ironing board, work area, toiletries, smart TV w/wireless keyboard, power adapter, complimentary soda and snacks, mini fridge. Blazing fast wi-fi. The air conditioning was efficient enough to make the room as cold as you could possibly want. If I were forced to be critical, I would mention that while the coil spring mattress was comfortable, it did have a strange internal wire than ran lengthwise down the center of the bed that was uncomfortable if you were to lay across it. The shower/toilet combo might seem off-putting, but I found it perfectly functional.

Great friendly hotel
We spent 3 nights at La Luna Saigon. The hotel is just off the street down a small dead-end alley which is actually ok as it doesn’t get a bunch of traffic noise. We were warmly greeted by Anh on our arrival and she provided us with a glass of juice while she was doing our check in. Our room is comfortable and clean with a king size bed. There is a good sized in-room safe that easily held our electronics and valuables. Anh provided us with a map and some good information on the area. A jacuzzi is available, the water is not high temperature though which is actually fine as it is refreshing after a hot day walking around the area. Breakfast was provided with our room. They have juice and coffee or tea, plates of fruit, bread, jam and peanut butter and a toaster available. You can also order eggs or other items from their breakfast menu. The hotel is within walking distance of the majority of the sites we wanted to see. From La Luna we walked to the War Remnants Museum, Independent Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Ben Thanh Market and Bitexco Financial Tower (Saigon Skydeck). Hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. Anh, in particular, was very attentive. We really enjoyed talking with her about Vietnam and the language. Her English is very good and she was happy to answer our questions and practice and expand her English skills. If our travels bring us back to Ho Chi Minh we’ll be back to stay at La Luna.
