I have put a " terrible " in property conditions because the room where I eas staying has the strangest bathroom that I have seen in my life. The entrance door is in glass - see through and you can see perfectly well the people inside the bathroom. As this is not enough the side wall of the bathroom is in glass as well , although is more blurred, so you can see people standing on the wc.If you are alone in the room all this is fine but if you have a partner it becomes a very odd and imbarassing situation

Fair 4,0
The pictures were misleading. The cafe and wine store below are both are closed and where the homeless sleep. To get to my room you had to take a cat walk outside on the 4th floor. I could also hear the gentleman in the next room brushing his teeth in the morning. Cleanliness was poor- the bottoms of my socks were brown after walking around the room. The only saving grace was the hotel was located near all the main attractions. I was able to to walk to everything.

Great location. Typical European apartment--even with the elevator, a fair number of stairs. Not a hotel, more like a rental (with cleaning every day). The refrigerator was broken (it froze everything and could not be adjusted) which took away some of the value of having an apartment. No armchairs or sofa anywhere. Quite a nice place if you didn't want to cook.

Poor 2,0
This is an old old guest house with 4-5 small dirty and smelly rooms. The staff try to be nice but they cannot do anything as the property is very old. Bathrooms have no ventilation and they smell due to old plumbing. Rooms floors are very dirty and old, it can't be cleaned as the dust has settled in the wood. The acces to the property is very hard to find and the door is actually from the 17th century, You will need to use three different keys to get to your room and they only have one set of keys per room. The elevators is very small, we could barely fit in our suitcase and it does not go to the actual floor and you will need to carry your laguage thru 17 additional steps, whcih was very hard. It was by far the worst place I have stayed.

I appreciated the apartment for letting us checked in early, we loved staying at Al Corso. The room was huge, and the cleaning girl kept the rooms immaculately clean. The balcony was a bonus. You can view the Chapel Bell and Piazza Popolo from there. It was also very easy to get to the attractions from the accommodation. Strongly recommended.

We loved staying at Al Corso! Irene was in constant communication with us about our check in time. We had a delayed flight and our flight and hotel check in times changed. She was willing to accommodate us. She was very helpful checking us in, gave us a map, and restaurant recommendations. The room we received was exactly the room pictured! It was perfect for a couple. I loved the terrace. The early morning church bells could disturb someone trying to sleep in. Tiny European elevator was cute but very small for more than 2 person with luggage. Al Corso definitely had a European antique hotel feel and quirkiness. Price was right and it was perfect for our short stay of 3 nights. I would prefer a bathroom door that was not clear glass but that could be corrected hanging a towel over the door. Not a huge deal breaker. Nice toiletries, sheets, and comfy bed. Foot of the bed could be short for someone that is over 6’ tall. Street noise was a little loud at certain times but it is right in front of Piazza del Popolo so that is to be expected. Our driver showed us to the front door. Without him walking us to the hotel, we would probably have a hard time finding the hotel. The only indicator for the hotel was the tiny hotel doorbell label that had other small hotels in the same building. Taxi stand was right around the corner, train station was 1 block away. Many restaurants and shopping all around. Location was close to everything for someone sightseeing in Rome.

We had a three night stay at this hotel. No problem checking in as owner had kindly been in touch to enquire when we expected to arrive. Greeted upon arrival by very friendly staff. Our room was really lovely with a small balony. The toom was spotless. Beautifully located and within walking distance to all sites. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much for making our stay in Rome memorable.

I was initially a bit gaurded as the entrance hallway is in serious need of being freshened up/painted but I found the actual accommodation, although basic, spotlessly clean and more than adequately equipped. The property is in s great location and i would have no hesitation in staying there again or recommending to others.
