Fantastic place with the right tweaks
We thoroughly enjoy this hotel and it’s unique offerings. There is room for improvement though and it’s simple fixes, such as having night stands, and fitted sheets that stay on the bed.

Had the whole building to myself!
Unique property in a quiet little town center. Each room has a unique them. I chose the Mark Twain Suite because of the tall vaulted ceiling and cool windows. There is acommon area living room that is nicely decorated next to the convenient coffee station and vending area. The night I stayed was a Monday in March during the slow season so I ended up having the whole building to myself! No front desk staff or housekeeping or security on site. You receive an entry code for the building and your room emailed to you to allow for this. Having the whole building was cool and creepy at the same time! The Mark Twain suite was nice but the bathroom had a huge open space for the shower which was very drafty and cold. A partition could easily be installed to close it off for privacy and temperature control. Also there were no curtains on the windows which could easily be fixed to provide privacy and block sunlight. TV channels were frustrating because the DirecTV guide would display them but most were not in the package that the poropertu subscribed to. No on demand or movie rentals. I recommend staying here for a unique experience. Not very many hotels in the area and a better option than the cookie cutter budget chains in the area.

Cool place
Wonderful place to stay, more like a cool, private bed and breakfast space than a hotel (minus the breakfast...). We didn't see anyone else the whole time so it felt like we had the place to ourselves -- there's no lobby or front desk, so we literally felt like the only ones there.

Weekend in Williamsport
Our stay at the Grand City Hotel was great! We arrived at night and easily found our reserved parking spot (which is numbered the same as your room). Since it was nighttime my wife was slightly creeped out by the building and walking into a dimly lit lobby (especially since there is not staff on site), but once we got inside the automatic lights turned on and it was ok. We made our way up to the room and just typed in the code given to us, and went inside! The room was wonderfully decorated and so refreshing compared to your average hotel room. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, and the bathroom was gorgeous. There was a lounge just outside our 3rd floor room with keurig coffee, mugs, vending, and glassware if you brought wine or anything similar. Overall the stay was awesome and very simple! My quick list of pros and cons is below. Pro: Refreshing escape from boring hotel rooms Easy check in - check out Reserved parking spot Walking distance to a bunch of cool restaurants Comfy bed Comfy Lounge with glassware/coffee/vending Cons: A little creepy at night (Specific to our room) Shower looked awesome but because it is so open it never really warmed up the area

Interesting hotel
This place is strange but in a good way. I would not want to arrive here alone at night. Although the place seemed secure, I was a bit wary parking behind the building and walking through the empty halls to my room. Room itself was great. Very comfy and modern bathroom. Huge TV too!
