Great installations and decor - looks like coming out of a history book. The hotel resembles something that came out of a Harry Potter movie, the decor is amazing. Unfortunately it is located in the heart of the Asuncion disco/bar area called "Paseo las Carmelitas" - and you won't be able to sleep on Thursday thru Sunday.... disco/bars in Asuncion are opened until about 6 in the morning, so the noise/music/drumming won't let you close your eyes. The hotel does have reinforced windows - but that is not sufficient for the noise generated around the corner. I did not try to stay over a weekday (like a Monday or Tuesday) so i don't know how noisy it is - my experience was on a Friday night - and it was terrible - I had to leave the hotel Saturday morning after a sleepless night.

A nice change from the run-of-the-mill hotels. The hotel definitely had a unique vibe. It smelled wonderful. The room was VERY spacious. The food was delicious.

One short comment that says it all: feels like home. The rooms feel very unique and very large, with a great bed and big bathroom. The restaurant is great, and the whole decor and vibe is laid back and exactly what we look for. Best option in Asuncion and one of the best I've stayed around the world.
