We have 200 private acres on the southern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Fairview, NC. We call it Cloud 9 Farm, a hobby farm (family-owned since 1965), a place you will never want to leave. Wonderful retreat

My family thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Cloud 9. From the stunning view of the mountins as you walk through the front door to the the quiet relaxing evenings sitting in front of the fireplace, it was a perfect vacation stay. We spent many hours on the covered porch at the table playing games and cards, eating and just talking - our favorite room of the house. There was plenty of room to spread out and areas to gather in small groups. We definately plan on returning! Thanks Janet for being a wonderful host and for the fresh eggs - they were enjoyed by all.

    A beautiful retreat

There is so much to explore and enjoy on these 200+ acres that we stayed put most of the time. Boating on the pond, riding the EV cart up and down the hill, picking berries, saying hi to the cows, waking up to rooster calls, and enjoying the great views and comfort of cloud 9! Lovely getaway with caring hosts.

    A little piece of heaven

Not only was the place beautiful but Janet was incredibly friendly she made us feel like we were family she answered any questions we had about chickens or bees and even what berry we saw that we were curious about. I’ve already made plans to spend my birthday there in December

    The Perfect Getaway

We stayed here with our 5 year old granddaughter for four nights and she was in heaven our entire stay. There's plenty for children to do here and Janet & Jeff are the perfect host & hostess. Besides the activities on the property it's also conveniently located to numerous local restaurants and area activities.

Super comfortable, beautiful views, and everything you need!

Our group of 5 adults had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend here. The beds were super comfortable. There was plenty of room to spread out so the readers could hang out in a different room from the football watching fans. The kitchen was well stocked although we only had breakfast and bedtime snacks because there is so much good food to eat in Asheville - and we only saw a few places so need to go back soon and eat more! Our geriatric dogs were welcome and LIVED laying on their beds in the living room looking out the sliding doors to the mountains. The liked watching birds and squirrels and sunbathing, but the highlight of the day was when Janet let her chickens out to forage. Then the barking would commence (which the chickens totally ignored) as the city dogs alerted us to foreign invaders :) We hope to return soon!

    Family farm fun

We needed a place for our family to say and Janet and her team welcomes us at the last minute with open arms. She was great teaching our 11 year old how to feed chickens and a cow. Lots of fun!

    Beautiful view

The whole experience at cloud 9 was awesome. Janet was extremely friendly and helpful. Her home was clean and comfortable. We got to pick blueberries and blackberries, feed chickens, and collect eggs. The view of the mountains is truly beautiful. Great way to isolate and social distance

    Would love to come back!

Janet is the perfect hostess. The property is beautiful and there is so much to do while still being the perfect place to relax. We could get to all the hikes and to Asheville easily. Beautiful views from every window. I can’t really say enough good things about our stay. We loved it here and highly recommend it.
