Lime Tree Cottage

The room was lovely. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The facilities were excellent, The house very comfortable. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was really good. A great variety of fruit cereals bread etc and the cooked breakfast A!. As we were visiting friends in the area, we will go back again.when in the area.

We had been staying a little further south and chose Herne Bay for a couple of nights before heading back North to home. The property is trying very hard to be eco-friendly - no gas, heating and cooking via a pallet burning range cooker, glass bottled water in the room, and plans for solar panels. Dawn and Frank made us very welcome - unfortunately Dawn had been indisposed so Frank was deputised into looking after us, and he did a fine job. We had chosen the peacock room upstairs as we wanted a room full of light overlooking the garden. Whilst not the largest room we have stayed in, it was certainly large enough for our needs, with a comfortable bed, excellent en-suite, and superb tea and (real ground bags) coffee facilities (we were encourage to bring milk from the fridge downstairs whenever we required for our drinks). Breakgast was an excellent range of fresh fruits, yoghurts, cold meats and cheeses, continental pastries and a full cooked English.Frank was very helpful in advice on where to visit, including places to eat and drink. He leant us a copy of the English Heritage book for our day out. Frank was also kind enough to provide fresh Italian cafetiere coffee for both our day out and our journey home. The local micropub was ten minutes walk away and we were made very welcome by the regulars

I stay here regularly on business trips and am never disappointed. Excellent service, quiet comfortable room with a very tasty breakfast. As a regular business traveller, Lime Tree Cottage is a haven away from home. I always get a good night sleep and am looked after exceptionally well. Of all the places I stay, Like Tree Cottage sets the standard to which all others should aspire. Truly exceptional.
