The only issue is that it is impossible to get the room temperature below 31 celsius/88 Farenheit. And this was during winter time

Not as great as used to be
I have been coming to this hotel for my annual trade show, and i cant help but notice the decline in overall quality of the hotel. In general its still ok, but the check-in and check-out is becoming a problem, when staff picks someone who is standing behind you in the line just because they are chinese. It sounds horrible and strange for such a big and multinational city as shanghai, but it has already happened to me twice in this hotel. I was given excuse that my checking out process will take longer, so they have to let people that are easier to deal with first. Room condition is becoming a problem, i had to change my non-smoking room because it was smelling of a smoke, staff said oh its probably because the previous guest didnt follow the rules and smoked which has nothing to do with me. But to be fair they changed the room pretty fast. However that room had clogged sink and wallpapers that were starting to fall of the wall. Well, its not that big of a deal, so i stayed. Doesnt mean it should be like that. Anyway, cant say that this is a bad hotel, just a reminder for the management, that the high level you had before is not maintained right now. 3/5
