Nice stay in Athens
We had a great stay at this hotel. The only complaint was that the dinner menu was a little expensive for the quality of the food.

Very good
Great location within walking distance of everything. Comfortable clean rooms. Food and drink was expensive but this is to be expected. Service could’ve been better - reception staff were not overly welcoming.

Great hotel, watch the price of extras!
Lovely hotel in the perfect location for exploring Athens. Service was first class. The only negative is the price of food and drink. While I expect a hotel of this standard to have high prices for extras the bar and minibar prices were very high and 25 euro each for a buffet Breakfast is excessive. The COVID precautions were first class.

Good
I stayed twice at this hotel, a week apart. My first stay I would give 5 stars, the second I would give maybe 2. It was baffling to me how different the experience was, even with the exact same type of room booked. I’ve outlined my positives and negatives below. Positives: 1st stay: - I had an Acropolis suite, it was breathtaking! Penthouse style views of the Acropolis, also views of the agora and the sunset. Huge wrap around balcony. Views even from the interior rooms. Perfectly clean. - Wonderful bellmen - Amazing breakfast 2nd stay: -Wonderful bellmen again -A gift- small bottle of olive oil and tea -amazing dinner on the roof top Negatives: 1st stay: -small pool, not enough chairs 2nd stay: -booked the exact same room for same price, but was put in a room on a lower level with a partially obstructed view of the Acropolis (which I could only see while standing in the corner of the tiny balcony). Bathroom was smaller, some of the lights were burned out, built in luggage rack was too small for a standard suitcase, floor was scuffed and damaged. Small balcony had no shade, and was overlooked by floor above (had cigarette ash fall), and no privacy with direct views into apartments -early breakfast (box) was substandard (I've had a better to-go breakfast at a 3 star) -Indifferent front desk It seems I was given the room that would be given to unliked guests. On the first stay I kept the room tidy and tipped generously so not sure what happened.

Wouldn't allow changing dates because of EU ban
With the EU ban on American travel, this hotel not only wouldn't let us cancel and refund our reservation, but they wouldn't even let us change the dates. They're taking advantage of COVID at the expense of guests who booked with them.
