Nightmare
The hostel bar downstairs plays loud music until early morning. I'm not like some 70 year old lady filing a noise complaint beacuse the neighbors cat sneezed. The sound level in the room two floors up was as loud as the dancefloor itself and the base was shaking massively in the room. Wifi was absolutely horrible but worked every now and then when I went to the top floor, where I ended up staying until early in the morning beacuse sleeping would have been impossible in the room. I tried calling the the hostel emergency number to complain but they didn't even pick up. I'm not a difficult person that makes a habit of complaining about small issues and I've travelled a lot and out of the maybe 200 different accommodations I've been in, this is the single worst experience that I've had. It was way way worse than inadvertently booking accommodation on a busy street during some festivities in Spain. I heard from the other two people in my dorm that the guy in the bunk bed under me had left a day earlier because he couldn't take another night, so I'm not exaggerating. Luckily I only had to endure this for one night as it was only a short transfer to my final destination but had I booked more nights I might have started smashing up the place in desperation. I'm usually too lazy to write reviews but this place really angered me. Also there were no hangers for clothes etc in the room.

The property was clean and very basic. Impressed by the space.A lot to be desired with fixtures and fittings especially bed and bedding. Bedding sheet had holes and thin, no matress protector. Quilt covers washed out colour with stains. Truly awful. There was a sofa which l slept on fully clothed. Inexpensive problems to fix. Such as replacing furniture with upgrades,rather than the flimsy clothing rail and wooden slatted boxes serving as bed side tables. Minor shower repair needed too. Could be a great place with these changes.

Viva Chur
Viva Chur was a low cost stay. It is opposite night clubs and a busy road, but that was not a problem on the night we stayed. However, women may feel a little intimidated by the area. The bedding was not comfortable. The sheets had a hole in them and the pillows were very poor. There was no catering and the tea/coffee room was locked in the evening and morning, so no chance of anything other than tap water. It was near the old town, which was good and a 10 minute walk from the railway and bus station. The room was OK, the bathroom warm and clean. Other than the low cost the Hostel has little appeal

Spacious & clean hostel in central Chur
The hostel was in a good location - walkable to the train station. Reception was closed when we arrived but we were able to call and obtain the code to enter. It had been emailed to us but was automatically sent to spam. The room was spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. The kitchen facilities are poor - there's no sink. It seems to also function as a night club but wasn't open during our stay (Monday night in February) - noise cancelling headphones are provided for each bed. During our stay, the hostel and neighborhood were very quiet.

i should have read the reviews properly
walkable from train station like 10 mins. not really easy to spot i would say. it’s actually a hostel and a club. oh goodness it was noisy at night. i was awaken by it. they did provide 2 nos of headphones which i do not know if i should compliment. cos honestly why would i sleep with one. there’s a few more bars/clubs nearby. not my kinda place. won’t recommend for those with family.
