Would book Again
Beautifully designed hotel. Updated services and room was generally clean. Shower is great for taller than average people. Parking was on the more expensive side. The Terrance was a bonus feature if the weather is nice. Pleasant city view and comfortable seating. ll staff were very friendly. Room had a few dirty spots. Bathroom floor and headboard were a little messy.

Great hotel. Park across the street!
First time staying at this hotel in Pittsburgh. Usually stay at the Renaissance but wanted to give this place a try. Overall I’ll say the hotel is excellent. Clean, quiet and inviting rooms. Only hiccup was prior to arrival, I called the hotel to ask about parking. Specifically, I asked if there was a self-park option nearby, knowing downtown Pittsburgh has plenty of parking garages. Much to my surprise, the person on the other end said the hotel only offered valet parking. I asked, quite incredulously, “are you sure?”, to which said person said “yes”. So I had to ask, “how much?” Reply was $35. $35! So resigned to the fact that person must know best, upon arrival I pulled up to the front door and had the waiting valet park my car. When checking in, I explained the “valet only” phone conversation to the front desk attendant, and they said the only person answering the phone at the hotel (whoever that was) would never tell a guest they had to use valet parking. Aside from the fact that someone at the hotel did in fact tell me that, the front desk attendant did not offer to clarify or help in any way. Disappointing. Late for a meeting, I had to leave things as is. After my meeting I thought about the “valet only” situation again and was frankly miffed. So I went to front desk again, explaining the situation to a different attendant named Samantha. Samantha immediately recognized what I was told was incorrect and did something about it; she reversed the $35 valet charge.

Cool place, tiny rooms
The hotel was a very cool place. Decor was very modern and the rooftop terrace was nice. The rooms are pretty small but it was fine since the location made up for it. Our toilet handle was broken so we had to flush the toilet carefully and there was some hairs on the floor of the shower. But other than that, it was clean and comfortable. I would recommend for a short visit if you don’t mind the small space.

FRUSTATING STAY
Front desk staff was excellent and hotel was clean and comfortable. Maid service was horrible!!! During our two day stay the coffee station was not adequately stocked and we needed to get supplies at the front desk. After the first day towels and wash cloths were not freshened up and our floor mat was removed. Previous stays were excellent; this stay was disappointing and I question our desire to stay with you all on our next trip to Pittsburgh.

Better luck next time
The rooms were very small, although comfortable and clean. Issues with menu availability at the attached restaurant, and valet issues in the AM, and it was not my favorite stay. Having stayed around the corner at the Kimpton for similar prices I was sad I chose to try a different property.
