DON'T make my mistake and ignore these reviews
I ignored the previous Hotels.com review and still decided to stay here, DON'T make the same mistake. The service at Mahoua "resort" is a complete disaster. Check-in took more than an hour because they have no planning for different arriving guests. I was eventually put in a 2-bedroom apartment. The apartment still had laundry in both the washing machine and dryer. There were no dishes or utensils; I found these all in the dish washer. I also had no towels in the apartment and had to request that they please bring me something. Out of the 10 lamps in the apartment, at least 4 were physically broken, but that did not matter because there was not a single 2-pin plug in the apartment, and it was impossible to plug any lamp in. After 1 night I was asked to change room, but then told I could change the next day. After two nights, before a morning run I confirmed with the 'front desk' that I need to move... they said yes. After my run I showered and packed all my things and took them down to the car because my new apartment was in a completely different complex 1km away. They then realised they stuffed it all up again, and said I should just move into the same apartment. I lost about 1 hour again, and missed the first hour of the conference morning. The apartments could be nice, and should be a pleasure to stay in. Unfortunately the owners and staff have no idea how to run accommodation, and completely lack an understanding of preparation and organisation.
