    As other reviewers have stated, this is a hotel that is probably advertised with one star more than it deserves. Our two rooms in the ‘plaza’ section were very worn, with wood trimming badly chipped and bathroom tiles in need of deep cleaning. That said the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. As for the rest of the hotel - the main building seems new and/or renovated, the breakfast was excellent, but the pool/spa area was frankly quite dilapidated and in need of a thorough facelift. Lastly I had an unpleasant checkout experience with the receptionist clearly not understanding how Expedia works and nearly double charging me. There was also a 100$ discrepancy between what I paid Expedia and what the hotel was actually charging which I aim to take up with the latter. Overall a very mixed experience.

    Best place to stay in Baños

    A very comfortable hotel with a nice spa (included) and a good breakfast. A great view of the waterfall from our balcony. A few minutes walk from the very noisy center on Baños makes for a much calmer stay.

    Nicer hotel across from the Thermal Baths

    This is a very nice hotel close to everything in town of Banos. Helpful staff, delicious breakfast buffet included. Spa with steam, sauna, various hot to cold tubs, jacuzzi. Massage services at a great price. We will definitely keep this as our family’s hotel to stay in a Banos. The only thing I didn’t like was the tub was really high to get in and out of. We stayed in a more luxury room but saw the standard room and it was very nice as well. The street was a little noisy until about 10-11. So if that bothers you ask for a room on the pool side.

    The hotel was very accommodating with our needs. There was a miscommunication between expedia and the hotel where we needed 2 rooms instead of 1 and they quickly resolved it by finding us another room. Rooms were confortable. The spa area was gery nice and was near the thermal baths. Overall, a great experience!

    Chambre propre, déjeuner excellent, personnel efficace. L’hotel est super bien situé (en face des bains termals). Cependant, il y a des salons sur les etages et les chambres ne sont pas bien insonorisées (pas du tout en faite) donc si certaines personnes s’y installent, bonne chance pour trouver sommeil.

    O Sangay Spa Hotel apesar de ser um hotel nos seus 60 anos, tem as areas sociais e quartos restaurados com muito bom gosto, a localização é excelente, à 10 minutos caminhando do terminal de ônibus e das principais atrações da cidade de Baños. Esta a frente das cachoeiras que são o cartão postal da cidade e das Termas de la Virgen. O quarto é confortável com uma excelente cama, tv a cabo, wi-fi rápido e se tiveres a sorte de ficar de frente para as cachoeiras, terás um sono maravilhoso com o cantar das águas. O banheiro tem uma boa ducha com bons amenities. O Spa Indra Ayurvedic é o ponto alto do hotel com a filosofia de massagens ayurvédica, tratamentos estéticos e o Baños de Cajon, também tem saunas a vapor turca e seca, banheiras de massagem jacuzzi, sala de fitness e piscina externa. O Staff é prestativo e atencioso, os serviços são muito bons. O ponto fraco ficou por conta do café da manhã que não está no nível do hotel, conversei com a gerencia e estão mudando para melhor. Vale a pena. Eu recomendo!!!!
