    Nice ambience
I really liked the ambience of the place. Between the bookshelves, the music, the couches and the lighting it was a really pleasant place to be. Many people seemed to be quietly reading or working on computers which seems like the goal of the hostel. Tge bookshelves look good and have a variety of titles across many genres. Bathrooms clean but first hostel I've been to in Japan where no toiletries were supplied (eg shampoo, body wash). One main issue for me: extremely noisy at night. I think I went to bed at 1130pm and it was noisy chute a could of hours after that. Not a party or anything but just bags being rolled around on the wooden floor and smashing into the metal stepladders (big echoing noise). Make sure you bring good earplugs or take the ones offered at reception. That's hostel life but it was bad enough for me to mention here. Bring your own beers too. A bit of variety at the bar but very expensive (mostly imports plus a japanese craft beer). Overall glad I stayed because it IS a nice place and they do the library thing well.

Great for a capsule hotel; still a capsule hotel
Has a cool vibe, a nice selection of books, was very clean, and literally a minute's walk from Ikebukuro station, but opening my travel bag to sort through my things was a nightmare in that limited space and you're constantly aware of the presence of other people. Not sure if wifi's better in the common area because I just read books there without using the internet, but in my bed wifi got a little slow&glitchy a few times. You also have to pay about $5 for a towel and toiletries. Overall, if you're traveling really lightly with just a small backpack or something or are already set on staying in a capsule hotel, I'd highly recommend this place, but I'd advise against staying in capsule hotels in general.

Choose this for the novelty factor only
I admit it - we chose this place for the novelty factor. But in reality, it doesn't really work so well. I'm personally not a fan of capsule hotels, so this review may be a bit biased. Ear plugs are provided because there will be music playing until 12 midnight. There was also someone doing some cleaning past midnight. You're only separated by a thin curtain hence ear plugs are a must otherwise you can hear EVERYTHING. It was quite dusty and stuffy inside the capsule and I ended up having to open the curtain a little bit but that meant the light shone through the capsule. Toilets are decent. Books were mostly in Japanese. There was a nice chill out lounge space which provided some instagram worthy shots. I definitely won't be staying back here again especially for the high price. You also have to pay an additional 500 JPY if you didn't bring your towel and toiletries and want a set.
