Terrible management for a good potential hotel
We had to change room twice, first because door lock was broken, second because there was an extremely strong toilet smell. On third day, our day trip to Gili was canceled on last minute, after making us wait for 1h and with no solution or options provided by hotel. There were also many missing details like no toilet paper, no free bottled water, a cleaning service unfinished, broken toilet light, no sofa in last room, broken speed meter in the motorbike, a single mask for snorkeling,... The pool area, location and restaurant are very nice though, especially if you are looking for relaxation. In brief, an hotel with great potential but terribly managed and with poor attention to details and guests.

Relaxing and Peaceful
This resort is so relaxing and offers great private villas with pools. The island is lovely and there are some stunning places to see. Do not expect prices to be like Bali though. There is a 21% service charge for all food and drinks, which adds up and overall the costs of things is higher than expected. However, this is a small price to pay for the opportunity to spend time on this side of the island. Staff here are lovely and work hard to assist you. Very respectful of privacy as well. This is a great place to unwind and chill out.

Nice stay with family
A happy trip with family. The hotel has not yet grand opening, very few clients. Located at a very quiet place, a little bit isolated though. Very relaxing, good food quality, yet the price is not as budget, still affordable. Very spacious room, super big bathroom. Nice people, good service, there are more hotel people than clients during our stay.(the whole hotel only had our family and another couple) Felt we were really the masters of the hotel, haha.

Terrible Stay
Horrific stay! We were "upgraded" to a pool room that had dirty linen, smelly bathroom and dirty towels. It was obvious that house-keeping did not have time nor cared for cleanliness. We enquired about how the TV worked and were then advised that there was a problem with the cable connection and we should instead use the WIFI to watch videos from our phones instead! They did bring a DVD player and DVDs afterwards. Everything is charged in USD (and converted to IDR at checkout) except for food from the restaurant. The "spa" is a makeshift shed with a curtain at the front and is not relaxing at all! The spa prices are even higher than big name chain hotels but the quality and surrounding is worst than the local massage places. That was the impression throughout our stay. This property charges "luxury" prices but offers below average amenities and service. This is probably a result of poor management and perhaps underpaid staff. We have not seen less happier faces during our entire time in Lombok. We will definitely NOT be returning and will advise all against staying at this property.

Price paid was not worth it, poor facilities.
There are no tv and Internet services. Only one cafe with very few choices. Expensive for a remote hotel. No snack bar. Toilets are very dirty and sub per for the cafeteria and general uses area. No parking spot. Dragging luggage a challenge.

Don‘t do it
As we booked the Anema in advance we already read about the Location and the prices, but nobody told us how worse it is. We are no newbies in travelling around South-East-Asia, but this was one of our worst stays in a high-class resort, as they pretend to be „Five-Stars“. To begin with the good things: the rooms are huge and nicely decorated. The staff is also very friendly and always has a smile for you. Also the pool is very good and relaxing. The bad thing about the rooms is that the bathroom stink to high heaven. We woke up during the night and had to open all Windows. Also the jacuzzi on the balcony did not work well and supplies only cold water. The beach isn‘t as good as on the Islands and as in the South of Lombok. So we nearly just used the pool. The food in the Restaurant is ok, but not more - compared to the prices it is absolutely unacceptable. The prices are one big point. Food prices are tripple higher than in the rest of indonesia. On top of this high prices they charge you 21% taxes and 2% credit card fee. To book a scooter they wanted 165k for one day (what is super expensive) and as we read the contract we saw that there are just 30km included - each km more should cost us 0,1usd. We never had that in Asia before... For the transfer to Lombok airport they charged us 600k (taxi price around 200k). To sum this up: we can not recommend this resort - there are a few more hotels which brings you more fun!
