Great hostel
Really friendly staff and clean dorms. The vibe didn't really feel friendly among other travelers. Only down side, there's lights in the room where luggage is placed that never turns off.

Grids was in an amazing location. Super easy to get to from NRT and within a 10 minute walking distance from many train lines. The staff was super friendly and helpful, I plan to return on my next trip to Tokyo!

Great stay.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The location is good, nice and quiet neighborhood, few minutes from the subway. The room is small but it works fine. We stayed in a private family room for four. It was clean and comfortable. There was a toilet in the room but showers were a shared space, women on the third floor and men on the second.

Very Good8.0
Convenient and clean hostel/hotel
This was my first time staying in a "capsule" style hostel, though the beds aren't really like traditional capsules since they're more like wooden boxes with a pull-down blind. The whole place is super clean and has a modern design, so even though it's cheap it doesn't feel like you're roughing it in a 20-person dorm. The shower room in particular was surprisingly clean. They have fairly good facilities, with plenty of toilets and shower rooms. The toilets are the Japanese bidet style and auto-clean themselves when you approach. The wifi here is free, but it's so slow it's almost unusable. This is fairly standard of Tokyo. I couldn't even make a voice call and had to resort to tethering from my phone on 4G. At times my computer wouldn't connect at all. Definitely unsuitable for business travellers. There's a cafe on the ground floor, but despite the 5 floors of potential customers upstairs it's only open from 11:30-2, when most guests are out. The drinks are basically instant coffee type, from a machine where they just press one button. Just go to a vending machine and buy canned coffee. The breakfast they sell is a whopping 600 yen for about 300 yen worth of stuff. The best plan would be to eat from the local 7/11. There really aren't many good restaurants or cafes in the area. The one good cafe I found was actually another hotel/hostel, Berth Coffee. Unlike the "cafe" in Grids, it's open all day and sells amazing fresh coffee and tea.

It was really comfortable stay. The hostel is close by important train station. Easy to go to and from airport and city. The receptionists are amazing. They are doing an amazing job!
