Nice hotel- small rooms
it was good but we feel that the hotel room was too small The fact that the building was being renewed was a point down to the hotel

Avoid at least until building work finished.
Room was fine, however building was in an awful state with renovation works. Noisy from 7.30am, wire hanging at face level, very dangerous, lift out of order, stairs covered in builders rubbish. Advertised tablet in room non existent. Not even a TV remote. Staff were ok, location is very good.

Will be a great hotel, location is perfect.
The room was very clean, but there were quite a few little issues. For example the tablet didn’t work, the wood around the hairdryer was broken and the coffee machine had no power to it. There was a lot of maintenance works going on in the lower floors and corridor (which we did not hear) and so was quite messy in the corridors at times. It was hard to find the lobby and the suitcase room (once found it was amazing a whole room with cctv and lockers for €2). We had a larger room and thought it was a shame that they didn’t have any coat cooks as there is no wardrobe etc to hang things, but plenty of space. The bed was very very comfortable. Location is perfect, you can walk to a lot of places but the metro is literally outside the front door of the hotel. Once they sort their signage out, finish the works and ensure things are working in the room it will be a great hotel.

Exceptional 10,0
Checking was pretty easy with the help of the front office. The room was absolutely perfect for solo travel, very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The area was perfect for my needs other than the construction hiding the sign to the front door I had no issues. Would most definitely stay again.

Great room, location, poor automated check in
Clean, great location, comfortable bed. Only the check in let this hotel down. My reservation number on my email confirmation was not recognised and it took approximately 10-15 minutes for the receptionist to sort out. If I had come later when reception was closed, the “automated check in” would have meant I couldn’t get in - and had no where to stay! This was also experienced my my friend staying, an obvious problem that needs sorting out!

Nice Hotel, but Horrible stay due Construction!
Spent HOURS driving around in a circle trying to first locate the hotel (sign & front door were not visible from the road due to construction) & then the parking garage. The front desk worker was kind & upgraded me to a nice suite with views of the city center. However, I woke up at 7am to someone drilling above my bathroom loudly. It was still going on when I checked out 1 hour later. It was so loud that people were complaining about the noise on the bottom floors when it was coming from above my 6th floor suite. If the construction wasn't going on & the hotel & garage were more accessible, it would've been fine.

Very well designed room, which was soundproof. Highly recommend as a central base for visiting munich.

Poor 2,0
Worst choice, tops 2 star hotel
My room didn't have normal curtains, they were "see-through" and made of a thin cloth; in addition they didn't cover all the windows (see pictures). I could hear drunk people yelling and the cars driving by. It's very noisy, and there is a construction going on in the building. Homeless people sleep a few steps from the entrance. It is unfair that none of these issues are mentioned when you are booking your room through the website

Functional Self-Service Hotel
New and clean hotel with automatic self-service check-in and out. (I was luckily with a receptionist upon my arrival, but I am not sure how you get in the hotel without knowing its special reservation code.) Vending machines to provide services. Coffee machine is in room. Speedy Wi-Fi. Vry functional ... except for one thing: that is power outlets. Nowadays, travelers may well need more than two outlets simultaneously but the room has only one. Car parking area looks small for a large vehicle. However, the location is convenientlly near the subwaystation, Karlsplatz. Definitely an option for my next visit in Munich.

No frills, but cheerful and convenient
Convenient and no frills. Close to central Munich, Marienplatz within walking distance, and right off the Karlsplatz U-Bahn stop. It was exactly what I needed. However, the room was cold as it was in the dead of winter, and I didn’t touch the central air, not knowing if it was AC or heat. So it was cold, but the blankets were comfy enough. Also, I could not digitally check-in with my reservation and had to go to reception. Luckily, it was still open when I arrived late at night. Housekeeping changed the towels and removed garbage, but they did not refill Nespresso coffee maker or give more pods. It’s all in the details why I didn’t give it a higher score. I’m in Munich often enough for business and Hotel Buddy was sufficient.
