Great and safe place to stay
Great location with bus and metro station nearby. Roughly 20 mins ride to the airport. Feel safe around the area at late night. Clean room.

Good 6,0
Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is walking distance to the park, churches, museums and restaurants. Breakfast food was filling and healthy although there was not much variety. However, our experience in this hotel was not good because of the following: 1. Defective aircon in our room on our first night, although we were given another room late at night after several attempts to fix the air con 2. No WiFi for 2-3 days 3. Elevator was slow and usually one out of 2 elevators was not working In summary, this was the worst IBIS hotel I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in IBIS hotels in Madrid, London, Dubai and New Zealand and I was very much satisfied with these hotels.

Great Location
This is a budget hotel - small but adequate room with good beds, but old, stained bed linens. In the bathroom there were no amenities, only 2 large bath towels and a bath mat that we assumed were clean, despite their greyish colour. The shower door was not water-tight and it leaked onto the floor. The best thing was the large picture window providing a great view to the east; we enjoyed watching the sunrise and the smoke rising from Popocatepetl volcano. This hotel takes guests' security very seriously, with a guard at the door and no access to other floors except one's own. The location is very good, just minutes from the Alameda and the Centro Historico.
