Great place to stay.
Had a wonderful stay at Best Western Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi, Ghana. My family and I were impressed with the courtesy and care of their staff. Room service was excellent. We plan on staying there anytime we visit Ghana. Highly recommended.

Disappointing stay.
Booked through Hotels.com to pay at hotel. At check in paid full amount. On checkout received a bill for a significant amount not for services provided but for increased room cost due to currency fluctuations affecting the dollar. Constant power failures thankfully short duration. Hotel policy for free Wi-Fi is to provide login details for a fixed period ie one day, or two days but not for the whole stay. Login turn a corner and login again. Login process timely and a lot of times not effective. Wi-Fi coverage woefully inadequate. If you are there on business get a phone with Ghana sim and plenty of data. The staff will and do respond but the standard reply seems to be “we have a challenge”. Breakfast reasonable provided you are willing to put up with soggy cold bacon and sausage. Electrical sockets might work.
