Great location, really clean, well priced.
Got a great deal on 1 night in Liverpool for a gig we were going to. Great location ideal for bar, pubs, docks etc. Check in very simple and quick, receptionist very friendly. Room was really clean and modern and nicely finished. Didnt have any issues so can't comment on how helpful staff are. The only negative was that you had to take lift to 1st floor then another lift to other floors. A section of stairs was closed so you walked up a flight then through to hotel to another set of stairs. It was very confusing 😕

Genesis under the bed !
I booked a one night stay in this hotel and was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. It was a trek to get to the room through narrow corridors and included 2 separate journeys in 2 different lifts. The room was basic with no tea coffee available or kettle etc but had your own bathroom. Opposite the room were a number of bars so a quiet night was off the cards because even when the bars close, you are then subject to the noise of smashing bottles for almost an hour. There is no double glazing because it's probably a listed building, but some internal secondary glazing would probably make a big difference. The bed, wow ! It said in the description a queen size bed, I love a big bed even when sleeping alone, but this thing was like trying to sleep on a rock, I've slept on comfier park benches. The noise of the springs when you attempt to roll over was like the drum solo of Phil Collins 'In the air tonight'. I have videos of it I hope I can post on here rather than pictures because you have to hear it to appreciate the noise. Having tried to sleep after the glass smashing competition which lasted till around 1am I was up and out of there by 6 in the morning to get a better sleep with one of the beggars outside on what turned out to be a very comfortable double quilt on some cardboard on castle Street. I asked if he was homeless and he said no, I booked 2 nights in the Tune in, and this was his preferred stay for the 2nd night! Indeed it was an upgrade
