Super lovely boutique hotel
Just had to kip for one night in a convenient hotel near to Amtrak and The Dean was absolutely splendid. The bunk bed was so so so comfy!!! Gorgeous little details in room. Had to leave super early so didn't get to do much else.

Better than Brooklyn
It was like going to Brooklyn but even better. If I had to be quaranteened anywhere in the country for one week, I would want to be stuck in the Dean. They had comfortable rooms, great style, friendly staff, delicious coffee, awesome beverage selections, and unique and yummy food.

This Dean is way cool 😎
The Dean is one of my favorite hotels in the country! I’ve stayed In the hotel at least 8 times and I don’t even look around at other hotels as this is home away from home for me. The staff could not be more friendly and now that #foodbynorth is in the hotel it’s complete!

Trendy hotel in convenient downtown location
This is the type of hotel that you feel two points cooler on a ten point scale just for staying at with its trendiness confined within the wall of a historic downtown building. The Good: Great location easy to get to Close to the Arena, Providence Place, and the Convention Center Great Staff always will to help you out Very trendy and cool like an east coast Portland vibe Lounge space and coffee shop at entry, restaurant also in the building Historic Building with lots of old world charm Normal hotel cable package My small room had three windows Price Fast Wifi The Bad: Property backs up to a bar that is across the street, which can be loud. Only two rooms per floor directly face it. I was on the rear on Cinco De Mayo, but with windows that did not directly face the bar, and it wasn't too bad. Being a historic building there would be accessibility issues if you were in a wheel chair. There was no microwave available. Fortunately the staff was able to get hot water from me even in the early hours to make oatmeal. Final Thoughts: I would definitely stay here again. They treated me well, you have to love the trendy details, and you get a lot for your money. It's a far cry for the generic corporate hotels we've all grown accustomed to.
