Home away from Home
The hotel was perfect, the room was huge and comfortable. Plenty of space. The outside had its own lounging area, and table with chairs for morning coffee. I was able to walk right onto the beach and relax in the afternoon by the shoreline. The hotel provided kayaks for us to use and we did.

8/10 Very good

Attractive small hotel right on the beach
This attractive and clean hotel was conveniently located on the beach as well as being very close to a dive shop that we used to obtain the four open water dives that we needed for certification. The hotel restaurant was very good. Given reasonable notice, the restaurant was prepared to address our dietary requirements (vegan) with a suitable meal plan. We chose not to use the meal plan, but we were very grateful that the option was available to us. Instead, we chose to eat some of our meals on the road during sightseeing visits, and at nearby hotels and restaurants. The decor of our two cabana rooms was attractive, as shown in the available pictures. One concern, which is only relevant to our room--Cabana no. 3, is that there is quite a bit of kitchen preparation noise early in the morning. We happened to have scheduled early morning activities, and so we had to get up early anyway; but the noise would be annoying to guests who wished to sleep in. Picking another room would solve the problem. All in all, we would recommend this hotel to other visitors to Hopkins, especially those who need a home base for diving and for exploring nearby sights in their own rented car. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful!

Family run hotel, right on the beach
Small, intimate, variety of room choices; excellent food. Owners and staff felt like family. Remoteness took some getting used to, as did the lack of phones in the room, so no way to call staff, but small enough that all locations are an easy walk. Not ADA compliant. Everyone was great. We were treated like royalty, special accommodations were no issue; tours could be arranged very quickly.

The People and the Scenery Make it Worth It.
This place was absolutely great. Please understand that Belize is a small country (pop. 350,000), and that Hopkins Village is home to only about 2,000 people; you will not have all of the comforts that a big chain hotel can provide you in the U.S. but the management and staff at this great resort go out of their way to help and make your stay as comfortable as humanly possible, which makes up for anything you think you may be missing. The setting for this small seaside village is out of a National Geographic Magazine, and it is surrounded by virgin jungle, filled with adventures that you and your family can enjoy (Beaches and Dreams staff will be great in scheduling any and all tours). Finally, I can't say enough about the food! The ingredients are so fresh, and it will make a difference! Everything we tried was so delicious, we could not stop eating. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel, and this location.

Thank you.
What a gem! We had the place to ourselves. Completely secluded; a hidden paradise. Managers Bryon and Ratka went out of their way to ensure that we had a great stay.
