Lovely location, friendly staff.
Really lovely hotel located in the centre of Totnes high street. Early check in and very friendly staff. They even let us leave our luggage after checkout the next day, taking this to the cellar for us. We knew in advance that it may be a noisy stay, due to being on the high street, but this did not put us off. Lots of historical character and thoughtfully decorated.

Nice but noisy
Nice hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The downside was that the room was VERY noisy but we accept there is nothing that can be done about that because of the location. Also they do not serve breakfast

Comfortable and convenient hotel in Totnes
Nice small hotel above the pub in centre of Totnes. We had a very pleasant twin room with attractive decor. The plumbing could be improved but otherwise all good. The stafff were very obliging and friendly

Comfortable but a little noisy
Comfortable room and lots of nice little touches Suffered from lack of double-glazing as outside noise could be heard (I suspect this was because the property had to be kept in keeping with the surrounding architecture and the windows could not simply be replaced with uPVC units). To be fair, some soft ear-plugs were provided for light sleepers, which was a nice touch. Toilets had Saniflows fitted hence I was awoken a couple of times by a short but loud buzzing. Food in the pub was delicious!
