Exceptional 10,0
My husband and I came into the city for the weekend and chose this place for it's swanky vibe. And it did not disappoint! Although the room was small, their spatial priorities are in the right place with a large comfy bed and an amazing shower! The pillows on the bed were perfect as I prefer a small fluffy pillow as opposed to a larger pillow. We had a view of the street, but the room was so pretty we hardly looked out the window :) The bar downstairs was a great place to visit and wait for friends. The staff was very accomodating and held our luggage while we explored the city. We chose the Walker on 13th as it is close to our family in the village. We will come back :)

Good 6,0
Poor execution
The location and atmosphere of the common areas were nice however the rooms lacked attention to detail. While we loved the decor, the craftsmanship was subpar. The shower door did not close properly and overlapped onto itself resulting in water all of over the floor. Bathroom door handle broke off a few times, wallpaper was peeling. Idea was great but extremely poor execution. Complaints via text and phone call were never answered.

Too Small and dark
We were really disappointed with the size of the room, extremely small and dark and the carpeting had stains on it Including the carpet in the elevator. The front office staff was very accommodating despite this and did offer another room however it was the same size just on a higher floor. I would recommend replacing the carpet at least. We were booked for 2 nights however that was not going to happen; the manager did agree to only charge us for one night, after a long day of walking in the city we were not going to look for another hotel at this point.

Really too bad
I usually don't post comments but I think travellers must really know about this. Although most of the staff at the property was helpful, smiling, polite and doing a good job, on a stay of 8 nights, two people in crucial positions were just very arogant and self sufficient, and killed the whole experience for us. You do not want to have someone at reception desk with an attitude and not even trying to be helpful, that's what happened on our check out. I called from the room and kindly ask the lady if she would be able to allow us a late check out. She answered in a second : No, not even trying to check if possible, not even apologizing not being able to help or proposing to keep our luggage or anything, she was just rude and self-sufficient.... The other bad experience was one of the two hostesses at the restaurant, we were waiting to be seated at a table, they were plenty available, she was busy talking even thought we were there standing, smiling and waiting. Even after we said we were waiting for a table, she said one moment, continued talking with a colleague and left on the side to do something else ! Unbelievable.... So, with a mediocre food, very old corridors, one of the two elevators not working 3 days out of 8, leaking AC in the bathroom, and the ARROGANT attitude (two persons only but at key positions).... You can skip definitely the hotel. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER OPTIONS IN THIS GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD for the same budget. I wrote with sincerity, good luck to all.
