Too cosy by half
We needed a quick hotel room as we had an early hospital appointment for the next morning, we saw that it said the room was a small double but didnt appreciate how small The double bed was up against two walls. I have not slept up against a wall since I was a child.

Great location, room had everything we needed, only complaint we have is that the shower was useless.

could do a lot better
My room smelled of dust. The hotel is having renovations which may have something to do with it but the curtains smelled as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years and I even woke up thinking about that smell. Other than that the hotel seemed clean enough apart from the fire escape which would be health hazard. Reception was excellent, restaurant staff varied from excellent on my second night to poor on my first night to dreadful at breakfast. Both mornings all of the tables were dirty and inlaid and I had to wait, there was no welcome just a tick on a list then empty coffee jugs and a general feeling that the whole service was too much trouble.

Room too small for double bed had to climb in across bed one side against wall. Having said that food was excellent and room was clean.
