    Good value clean and comfortable Motel

    I was riding motorcycles around the South Island with 7 mates and the Ashlar Motel was one of our stops, had a great stay... Price and location was great, would stay again..

    Comfortable, friendly, and great value for money.

    I was welcomed warmly, and even given some very useful tips on local area sightseeing. My accomodation was comfortable, clean, with a good bed to sleep in. The room had everything one would need. Breakfast items were brought to me the evening before, so I could do my own thing in the morning. This motel is extremely good value for money, and well located to get around town. There are parking spaces outside the rooms.

    Very nice, handy to the city center,very quiet,just a really nice place to stay would certainly stay there again. Very clean. beds comfortable and a nice large bathroom for wheelchair access .

    Pleasant Stay with Caveats

    Overall, my stay was very pleasant. Although furnishings seemed a bit old and faded, they were clean and comfortable. The overall space was well organized with a sitting, eating, and sleeping areas, kitchenette, and bathroom. A couple of suggestions: 1. Please provide a better quality coffee even if it's just a good instant. The brand you used had a decent tea but not coffee (brew or instant). 2. The huge windows on the door and in the bathroom prevented privacy even though they contained "privacy" glass. Please put some sort of curtain or other covering over them, which can be drawn closed as necessary. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

    Very helpful lady at check, very informative and full of good ideas. Very central location, easy walk to the centre of town, easy access to all points , Nort, South, East and West by road from the motel.
