Danhostel Copenhagen Amager
Comfortable room
Check-in went well and the personnel were friendly. Unfortunately our room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke (although it is a non-smoking hotel). The hostel was fully booked and we could not be moved to another room but we were offered breakfast for the inconvenience. The room was adequate and the only negative is that when showering the water splashes all over the floor (a brush was available to sweep it away). The hostel is quite a distance from the city by foot but easily accessible by bus or metro. It is also a short distance from the airport by train. The hostel is situated next to an open area where people go for walks, running and cycling and on two occasions we noticed small deer in the park. It was lovely to be so close to nature yet not far from the city.

Would come again
Stayed 3 nights in 2-person room. Room was small and there was only two beds and one table, but we didn't expect more. There were no air condition in the room, but even if were in the middle of hot wave, the room wasn't too hot, as we were able to open the window and the door and get some air moving. Common areas were clean, kitchen was spacious and good. There were also several fridges. Kitchen was closed at midnight though, which I didn't understand. In order to borrow some plates or cups we had to give our room key as a deposit, and we got it back when we returned them. This system was sometimes a bit frustrating. We didn't have to queue for the showers either. We rented also bicycles for one day, it worked out well. The staff was friendly and always trying to help. I would come again, as the price level compared to the satisfaction level of this hostel was good in my opinion. Also location was quite good, quiet area close to nature. With bicycles the city center was easily reachable, we even walked there once (~4km). Closest metro station is ~1km away. So if you don't like to walk, don't choose this one.

Room was clean but small. Very hot and stuffy due to exceptionally hot weather. Breakfast was ok but expensive for what we paid for and not included in stay.
