This was my second time at Dosso Dossi Hotels & Spa Downtown. This location is amazing if you are travelling with Family or solo. The stay was comfortable, Room was big and very clean. Free breakfast and wifi. Amazing spa, steam, sauna, and gym.

The property was okay but really needs to be updated. Was 4 star when new but with age is more like 3 stars but price like new. Everything is worn and needs to be re invested. Wallpaper worn old dented trash can in room, shower water runs all over floor, sink and taps old. Was clean and service good but they they nickelled and dimed on everything. 1 They make you leave a cash deposit of 100 USD. If you ask to use credit card deposit they refund in 21 days. They charge the card not just put a hold and release. 2 They have a pool but you have to wear a swimming cap. Just your luck if you do not have one handy they will sell you one for 5 dollars. 3 We stayed 4 nights and each morning I ordered Turkish coffee as their machine made was so very bad. They never charged me so this was fine. Last day they tried to charge me and I refused as they had not done so the previous days. The manager came and insisted I pay as it was policy. I said that three days in a row they did not hold policy so could not try now. It was the principal and he backed off. 4. On check out they hold you at the front desk until they check the mini bar. I asked to check in advance as one man said it would take 15 minutes. But told no had to wait until check out as they do not check daily. 5. They re-use the room keys, charge you if not returned. Key is absolutely filthy from over usage. I have stayed at a lower class hotels that do not re use keys.

Although the staff was friendly, this is not a 5 star quality hotel. It's old, mats are so unconfortable and the room space is very tiny. It seems to be bigger at photos but it's not. We had to ask for some maintenance that should have been done before guests arriving. The wall paper is in bad conditions, the bathroom's door didn't close, the closet didn't close and sound while opening, etc. Deffinitely not what you expect of a 5 star hotel.
