Pass on this hotel!
Our stay started by trying to check in with Sergio who was abrupt and rather rude. Our room really needed updated carpet, the bed was hard as a rock and the decor was very out dated. We had 3 TV channels the air conditioning didn’t seem to work. There were dogs stay in the rooms and did bark after 11 pm.

Small room but clean and close to National Mall
The Hotel Harrington is a no frills, old hotel in the middle of DC. The location is perfect for easy access to sight seeing and the monuments. The hotel was opened in 1914 and some of the fixtures look like they probably haven’t been replaced since then, but the room was clean (very small and bed wasn’t super comfortable - but for the price was OK) and it serviced us well as a one overnight stop. If you’re looking for a place to just sleep and no real luxury, for a good price this is the hotel for you.

Fantastic Location
Fantastic location in an old Hotel. The staff was very helpful. Rooms are small. It is a great deal for site seeing in DC

Great Classic Hotel.
I loved staying here. It was right downtown in DC within walking distance from everything. I will definitely stay there again for sure.

Great for dog lovers
Overall we had a good stay. The location felt safe even when walking our dogs late at night/early morning. The rooms are older, but well maintained. The lobby and elevator were clean. The location to attractions and food is great. We love being able to travel with our dogs and appreciated the ease of that at this location. We will definitely stay again. The only complaints we had were the temperature of the room; it was hot and couldn’t be adjusted ( the front desk says they set an overall temp for the whole hotel). The windows did open, but the street noise was very loud when doing that. The parking ramp was difficult to find at first and was only accessible before 6pm and we had to change our plans to be able to meet that requirement.

The hotel is incredibly old. They brag around being the longest continuously operational hotel but that is not necessarily a good thing.

Wasted $$$
It was very very very very hot on 11th floor, no AC, asked to have turned on, two days later no AC?? Told I’d get a fan, NO fan, windows had no screens so could not open those without bugs coming in? Place was a just a JOKE, people could care less. On their phones, cared less about patrons, felt like I was at a drug house it was that pathetic. Waste of my hard earned money.
