Front desk staff were quick friendly and efficient. Rooms need updating but are comfortable. Beds were comfy too. Lots of hot water. You can hear neighboring room sleep noises or TV.

Disappointing experience
Stain on the mattress pad and stains on carpet. Room smelled bad. It was quiet though and it was convenient staying in the park.

2 night stay - hiking GC
We extended our overnight stay to 2 nights, the staff were very helpful and understanding, they were able to keep us in the same room. We were lucky to be in the eastern lodges, these had air-conditioning. Overall I highly recommended Yavapai lodge. Close to bus stops to take you to the GC rim, the Village area is short stroll away.
