Fabulous Stay
This hotel is a gem! Located next to San Felipe and vey close to the walled district, the location is great. All staff are attentive and gracious in their hospitality. Especially noteworthy are Carmen, Juan and Wilton ( Willy) Beds are the most comfortable ever!! Great breakfast and the rooftop pool and patio are a delight!

Very nice 4 days across from Castillo San Felipe
Very nice hotel with great dining hall views of the large fort across the street. Staff are all very friendly and they offered a complimentary pickup from the airport, which was nice. Food and drinks at the hotel were decent if you didn't want to venture into town. Pool is very small with few lounge chairs, so get in early to claim your spot! The only drawback is the hotel is located across a small body of water from the neighborhoods of Getsemani and Centro, where all the sites and restaurants are. Walking across two different bridge paths takes about 15-20 minutes into those areas, but can appear dodgy at night esp the bridge towards Getsemani as there are less people on that end. If walking across the larger more populated bridge path from Centro, I would suggest cutting across the modern mall to cross the street back to the hotel. Cartagena is safe and people are friendly, but just keep your wits about things.

Very Good8.0
Good but not great
The hotel was nicely decorated and fitted, although some things were in need or minor repair. It was great being right next to the castle and only a 10-15 minute walk to the old town. The main downsides were that the breakfast wasn’t great and the revering staff were unfriendly, bordering on rude (when they forgot our breakfast order for nearly an hour and did not apologise for this).

Great stay at San Lazaro Art Life Style Hotel
Our stay at San Lazaro Art Life Style Hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff at this boutique hotel in the vibrant Getsemani neighbourhood of Cartagena made all the difference. They were attentive and efficient at check in. Ensured we were completely satisfied with our room. Offered great insight when posed with questions. Went above and beyond when dealing with a urgent laundry situation (ran out of clothing options after travelling for a week). Restaurant staff made the included breakfast a treat every morning. Absolutely need to offer a special shout out to Alexa Jimenez (Hotels need a solutions oriented problem solver - Alexa fit the bill perfectly). People make or break your stay at any hotel - San Lazaro appears to be in good hands. Thanks to all for a great stay!!!
