Only place i will stay in Burlington

Stayed one night looking at University. Staff was fantastic. Wanted to know where to park downtown and desk pulled out a map and showed me the best spots. Hotel rooms, halls, stairways and lobby were so clean. Room was great and hotel is conveniently located. I will not stay anywhere else. Thank you for truly caring about your customers.

    Ok stay...needs some work

The lobby was beautiful and the rooms were nice. However, upon deeper inspection the fridge was gross with crumbs all over it, the tub had stains, and the toilet had not been cleaned on the inside.

    Great suite

We had a great stay at Green Mountain Suites. The kitchenette and sitting area in our suite made it possible for us to visit with a family member in a way that felt like home. The kitchen was thoughtfully supplied with paper towels, a sponge, a dish towel, a tiny bottle of dish soap, and a packet of dishwasher detergent. The dishes and utensils were also thoughtfully selected. The beds were cozy. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was limited due to covid, but they tried their best to supply nice choices in the form of individually wrapped items like muffins, turnovers, and waffles. They even had frozen breakfast sandwiches that you could take back to your room to microwave. The dining area was cheerfully decorated, too. Complimentary coffee and a selection of teas were available in the lobby round the clock. The fireplace had a cozy fire going at all times. We had two minor complaints: the sofa was not very comfortable to sit on. The seat slanted slightly toward the floor, and it just generally felt hard. This is a common problem with sofa beds. The other issue was that water got all over the bathroom floor when we showered, even though we were careful to make sure that the shower curtain was fully closed. Overall, a great stay, and we will stay there again in the future, I am sure. Wonderful hotel.

OUR ROOM DOOR DID NOT LOCK

Nice hotel for the money, but we came back to our door being unlocked. At first I thought it was my mistake, but tried closing the door to confirm. I realized my door would not lock and had not been locked the entire time we were out of the hotel. I contacted the hotel to let them know and all they said was "sorry for the inconvenience". I am not one to complain, but with all of my work and life belongings in a hotel room I would expect them to have a little more customer service when their hotel room door do not lock.

  • 8,0.Very good

Overall it was perfect for us, close to Bolton Valley skiing and close to downtown Burlington. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a fireplace. It was clean and the pillows on the bed were heavenly. But the fireplace only runs by turning a timer and the timer ticks very loudly every second until it goes off which is not relaxing and peaceful at all. Also, the ice maker in our freezer never worked the whole time we were there, and there was a horrible smell in the hallway on one of the days. We also wished they provided a kettle to boil hot water. It was disappointing that the restaurant, the bar, the pool, and the jacuzzi were all closed. Vermont allows bars and restaurants to be open so that was very disappointing. Breakfast was very limited and they gave you instant oatmeal but had no hot water to eat it. So you had to go back up to your room and use one of the large pots to boil a cup of water. It was decently priced so I guess it’s ok but it would have made the experience so much nicer had there been a proper breakfast, the bar and indoor pool/jacuzzi was open, and the fireplace timer didn’t tick so loudly. Like I said overall it was nice. But they could make some improvements.

Great rooms and suites. Particularly nice to have a full kitchen during a time when you can’t really eat out.
