Nautilus Beach Apartments

My review is mixed about this property. We loved that it was located directly on a really nice quiet beautiful beach (Browns beach, Carlisle Bay), and we loved the staff who became like family to us during the week that we were there. The room we stayed in (211) had a million dollar ocean/beach view. Being on the second floor was best because you don't have the barbed wire fence that surrounds the property in view. The room was very basic, like bare bones basic but it was clean and the beds were comfortable enough. You can clearly hear the ocean waves from your bed all night long. Location is about a 10 min walk to the downtown Bridgetown area. I to be honest am not a fan of Bridgetown and just went in a couple of times to get things we needed. It is not recommended to walk around there at night. The bad: upon check in we saw a massive rat on the property. I hoped it was a one off, perhaps just a rat passing by but as each day passed we saw more and more rats. Please note that all the rats we saw were out side on the property not in our room otherwise I would have left immediately. We told the front desk about the rats and they were planning to get an exterminator to come deal with it. We spoke to some guests that had stayed there many times before and they told us this was the first year that they had seen rats. If I could have got a refund and easily found an equally affordable place to stay on the beach I would have left. But that was not possible.

Great beach and friendly people,very clean a little dated but well kept

Location was convenient to Bridgetown and the cruise ship port. It was quite easy to move around. Got on a number 11 or 3D bus and made my way around with some direction from locals. Beachfront room 512 was great. Went to sleep listening to the sound of the ocean. Staff was great and very courteous. Definitely recommend.

I paid for a place way I didn't stay in.... and I did try to call and cancel the place...but the person saying he can't understand me when I talk...I was toi book for me and my two kids and realize only 2 could of stay

I have been staying in self serv accommodations in Barbados for several years now and this has been my favourite one so far. Spacious and clean! And the location was perfect. I felt safe and actually cared for, as the staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful! Whether you are staying on your own or as a family, this place is perfect. And right on the beach!

This is my second stay there in two months. It's just my style. It provides me all the utilities and access that I'm used to and more. It's beach is more secluded. I loved that. You have the raddison hotel to your left if you want to mingle and you have pirates cove beach to your right where the Cruz ships dock. The staff are awesome and warm. The apartments are clean. Your 10 minutes from town by bus or car. A place to eat directly across the road. I'm gonna bring my kids next time. I love it.
