This is one of my favourite hotels in South Africa. The lovely heritage building is the biggest charm, and added to that is the friendliness of the staff, overall comfort and excellent kitchen. Moreover I was for the most part served in my language Afrikaans. Thank you Drostdy.

We had a lovely stay in the Drostdy. It's a lovely hotel, staff are friendly, and the service is professsional. The manager arranged for a room upgrade once they became aware that I enjoy VIP privileges; this was much appreciated!

Queit luxury in the midst of history
Lovely, very comfy room with aircon (much needed!) and super bed. Bathroom was lovely but the water sometimes only came in trickles (supposedly due to load-shedding!). That made showering difficult at times. Gorgeous gardens, outdoor seating areas, lovely lounges and bar area. Restaurant is very comfy and stylish and food was excellent. Would love to come back!
