Awesome stay
The Google maps description says this is 2 star, but it's definitely at least 3 or 4. The hotel is about 15 mins drive from Höfn in the middle of nowhere. Even on arrival it looked amazing, looks newly built or newly renovated. Staff were warm and welcoming and check in was swift. The room was big and clean, and so was the bathroom with its heated floor tiles. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I slept in during my week in Iceland. The room included TV, hairdryer, safe, fridge, toiletries, kettle with tea and coffee. It was the only hotel I had stayed in with a fridge so thumbs up. Our room had a balcony with a great view of the mountains, it would be perfect for viewing the northern lights but we weren't fortunate enough to see it. The hotel also has a handy northern lights wake up call service if Northern lights are visible. Breakfast was a buffet with so many options, both hot and cold, that it was just wow, I especially liked the freshly baked bread and the number of hot items and the variety of fruit they had. Most hotels I stayed in had no fruit or just banana, and no hot food except scrambled eggs. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering it.

Happy with our stay
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the suites in the hotel. Quality of the suite was very nice with every feature needed for comfort. Breakfast and dinner were of good quality during the stay.

Iceland Countryside
Our suite was beautiful. The food was very good and priced at the norm for Iceland. We had too much rain and clouds to see the Northern Lights. Maybe next time!

Don’t waste your money here
Terrible place to stay. The room was down a flight of stairs with no elevators. My husband had to carry the suitcases with his bad back. Frost desk refused to change the room. As soon as we entered the room we noticed that The bath room stunk like someone urinated on the floor. Rest rooms at Netto or N1 were much cleaner than this place. Other than the view of the snow cap, this place is a terrible place to stay.

Great location and fab rooms!
We loved our stay at Fosshotel Vatnajokull. Our rooms were beautiful with panoramic windows for sweeping views of the park surrounding us. Luis at the bar poured us tasty cocktails. The breakfast is a little lackluster but serviceable (definitely get the bread). We had a wonderful and restful stay!

Buyer Beware
If you like Motel 6 for $300 a night you will love the hotel. Prefab building with prefab room. to add to the stay no hot water, desk said the hotel was sold out and I should wait a few hours too many people taking showers. I was totally SURPRISED when checking out they gave me back Half my money for the room, they did the right thin.
