Big Disappointment
Such a disappointment First time to this area and once we saw the room we knew we needed to be out of our room as much as possible Most units looked at lake or pool. Ours faced road It was dark. Bathroom smelled of pee. Furniture was old, sweat stained and 3rd hand looking And to top it off, hidden Hotels.com fees added $300 to three night stay Need I go on?

Beautiful lake view but overpriced for the value
This lodge had some lovely aspects to it, and my fondest memory of our stay will be of sitting on the balcony with a wonderful view of the fountain on Lake Jordan. However, the lodge was VERY overpriced for what it was. The property showed signs of neglect and being rundown both on the outside and in the rooms. For example, our tub had considerable amount of mold and needed new grouting. The canoe we used had some loose screws. These are difficult times for customer service, but management at this lodge could have done a lot better. For the price we paid, a small boxed breakfast would have been a nice touch. A couple of calls to inquire if our stay was going well and if there was anything we needed would have shown some customer care. When our daughter pulled out the sofa bed, the linens had hair and dirt on them and obviously had not been changed. Management did send up some new linens quickly, but the person I spoke to was not apologetic and sounded not too caring. This did not instill confidence in us in how thoroughly the place had been cleaned and disinfected...especially during this COVID era. They left a small bag of toiletries most days on our door (smart move by the lodge), but they forgot to on our next to last day. I called about it and was promised it would arrive within the hour, but it never did. I plan to vacation with my cousin in the future in this area after the pandemic is over, but there is no way that I would stay at this lodge again.

We’re coming back
Due to COVID-19 they canceled their breakfast service and we didn’t ever meet anyone who worked there. I have to say that despite that we had a great time and were mostly pleased with our stay. The only downfall if you want to call it that is the WiFi service. Although I said there would be 2 adults in the room my husband never was able to access the WiFi. I had to activate a hot spot on my phone so he could use the internet. Aside from that the lake is beautiful. I love there’s canoeing and access to a fishing pond on sight. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I also love we had our own balcony that overlooked the lake. We plan to visit again next year. Hopefully by then the coronavirus will be gone and we can meet the staff and try out the breakfast.
