This is our second stay at this exceptional bed and breakfast. The perfect spot for a visit to Cape May, gorgeous, large rooms, excellent breakfast choices, short walk to the downtown district or the beach.

Great hotel closer to town than the beach.
Great place, excellent breakfast, clean comfortable room. Is two blocks from town and six blocks from the beach. Hard to walk to the beach with beach chairs, needed to take the car, and definitely needed quarters for the meters. Well manicured, well appointed, run more as a Hotel than an Inn. Would definitely go back.

Five stars, private, close to beach, great staff
Now that I have been spoiled by The Southern Mansion, I will not stay anywhere else when I come to Cape May. This means planning in advance so I am sure to have a room when I come to Cape May! The gardens are just gorgeous, the huge wrap around porch takes you back to the 1800's when this lovely Mansion was built. The full gourmet breakfast is to die for so make sure you arrive hungry. I love to come off of the beach at the hottest point in the day, and lounge on the magnificent porch with a cool drink and a good book. This is relaxation... This is The Southern Mansion....

Our Stay
Loved the gardens and overall ambiance of the Inn. The room was beautiful and the breakfast on the porch was fabulous. I would recommend to my friends and in fact already have.

Wonderful October stay
Had a great stay here with my husband back in October of 2014. Beautiful grounds, people, room and food. Enjoyed ourselves completely...I would definitely recommend the Southern Mansion to my friends and family!

Ambiance was fabulous for a romantic weekend
Ambiance was fabulous Relax in the elegant living room with two working fireplaces. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Great place to get away for RR or a romantic weekend. Breakfast food is delicious and fresh.
