La Mongolfiera Rooms

The place was nice and clean and the rooms were big. You’re close to all the main attractions in Rome and good restaurants all around you .

The rooms are on the 4th floor of a wonderful old building right in the heart of the city, close to the Piazza Narvona. Fantastic welcoming staff who were really friendly and organised a number of things for us. There is a lift, but it's very small so only two/three people at a time. The rooms are very good - comfortable beds, bathroom clean and good shower. There is a coffee machine with coffee/tea provided and a fridge with water included. The location could not be bettered - so much going on all around with friendly bars/restaurants and places to watch the world go by. Only gripes - pillows were a bit flat and uncomfortable and the fact that the towels aren't changed throughout the stay - with 2 people having a shower each day it's not great to have to re-use them for 4 days.

The concierge was very helpful and spoke good English (also appeared to speak French to the couple in front of us). She gave us a map of the area with our location highlighted as well as good spots to see. She also gave us some good advice on places to eat in the area. The room was clean with reasonable space for two people. My only complaints would be the poor quality towels that made drying hard, as well as the fact that they appear to routinely turn off the breakers to the AC units mid-day, so we left a cool room with the windows closed (it gets hot and very humid in Rome) and came back to a room that had been cleaned, a window opened and it was about 88 degrees F and muggy inside. Had I not seen them turn the breakers on the day we checked in, I would have had no idea how to get the AC to work and nobody was at the desk at that time. Overall the stay was pleasant, but the AC issue was annoying.

We stayed here for three nights and had a great time. Highlights were amazing staff who were very helpful, central location and great air conditioning!

Great experience here! Clean rooms and excellent service! Everything was within walking distance.
