They “upgraded” our room, not so sure in which standard because when we had a peek on the other side room it was so clean and quite new. our room was clean by its definition however things were old and not even replaced or maintained.

Love that the room is big and spacious. However which such a big room guest would have expected more amenities. The one and only microwave is situated at level 1 and we needed to bring our food down to get them heated up before headed back to our room. Even though there is a washing machine, we do not have enough hangers to hang out clothes.

Hotel can’t decide if it wants to be a hotel or a serviced apartment. Doesn’t appear professionally operated as a hotel as there were no consistency in their electrical appliances (we switched rooms). Too many unnecessary built-in storage. Décor is old & amenities are worn out. Reception staff have low command of English & tend to decline most requests (not sure if it is because it is more convenient to say no or simply because they do not understand). There are a few markets around the corner from the hotel & a convenience store, Chinese restaurant & coffee joint directly accessed within the hotel premise. The Airport Limo bus stop is a 15-min walk away & not exactly most friendly if you have heavy luggage as the roads leading to it isn’t all flat.

Ocean palace hotel need to be taken down from a four stare hotel to a two stare Motel. Everything in the establishment was so dated, my room was falling apart and it was being held together by tape literally. It did have great space in the rooms but the photos where so false leading. I asked for an Close iron, they did not have any at all, not unavailable they did not carry them, the free breakfast was Horrible it’s not what someone expects for Four- Stare Hotel.
